Investing as an Entity: Beneficial Owner

When investing as an entity you will need to provide beneficial owner information.

If you choose to invest in an SPV as an entity, you will be asked to provide any beneficial owners. Add all beneficial owners for the entity.

What is a Beneficial Owner?

A beneficial owner is a person who enjoys the benefits of ownership even though the title is in another name. You would be a beneficial owner if you held an interest in a company of more than 20% or are the largest stakeholder.

Why does Assure need this information?

Assure needs this information to perform its mandatory KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti Money Laundering) checks on the investors that enter the deal.

What address do I list as for the Beneficial Owner?

List the home address, phone and personal SSN on the Beneficial Owner fields. If entered incorrectly or falsely, they will not pass the check and will be asked to correct the information before being allowed to proceed.
